I spent today ironing out some "final" bugs in the ship builder and re-building the demo ship from the ground up. I now have an alpha build of the editor which I sent to a few friends, so it'll be interesting to see what they come up with.
The next step is baking this construction model into a real, functional strategy game unit.

I've come to your blog from your Deviantart page, where I was admiring the bike chain clock that you made a few years ago. I'm looking to make something very similar and was wondering whether you would be able to give me some more details about how you made it, the components, construction etc? Was the high-torque movement strong enough to drive the weight of the cog and chain around?
